Snapdragon Stadium Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

August 24th, 2022

On Friday, Snapdragon Stadium held a private ribbon-cutting ceremony for city officials, community partners and media. Snapdragon Stadium officially opens to the public on Saturday, September 3 when the San Diego State Aztecs host the University of Arizona Wildcats.

Snapdragon Stadium with SDSU and Sycuan Tribe

This past November, SDSU named the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation and Sycuan Casino Resort an Inaugural Founding Partner of the stadium. As part of this agreement, two of the most anticipated experiences within the stadium bear the Sycuan name.

The Sycuan Piers

The Sycuan Piers are expected to become a signature feature of the stadium. The three piers feature 10,000 square feet of space that include 22 loge boxes, standing room for 500 individuals, three bars and a concession stand.

The Piers, inspired by the coastline of San Diego, includes a section that jets out toward the field and will provide fans with a view of the action that is exclusive to the venue and will be instantly recognizable as Aztec Stadium.

The Sycuan Founders Club

The Sycuan Founders Club will be one of the most exclusive and prestigious hospitality areas in all of Southern California.

Comprising four Founders Suites and 48 Founders Club Seats, the Club provides year-round access to every event in the stadium with an all-inclusive premium menu and hosted bar.
